WEEKEND RUNAROUND

Tickets for the upcoming Summer Barbeque on Aug. 17th are now available to book at www.midletonac.com/events

Conna 5km

Friday evening saw a fine crowd at the Conna 5km. This is a tough one and not for the faint hearted. It consists of approx one mile seriously uphill and another mile seriously downhill. Its good fun talking to first timers after it especially those that didn't know what to expect. We have a fine few from the club there and all did very well. John Cashman who is flying at present took 1st O/55 and Joan McCarthy got 2nd O/60. There was a fantastic spread of home baking after and lots of spots.

Best of luck to everyone racing and training this weekend. Friday evening sees us spoiled for choice with a local race in Conna which has proved very popular and very well organised and a five mile in Kinsale which was always the traditional race of the August weekend. Kinsale is definitely one of the fastest five miles around and lots go there for a PB. Please keep us posted on your results'
Next Wednesday sees a new race on the calendar with BHAA with a new four mile in Ringaskiddy. We have lost quite a few races so far this year so its extra nice to see a new one cropping up.
