Best of luck to all running this weekend especially our Vice Captain Christine Murphy who is running the marathon in Amsterdam and also John Hennessy who is also doing Amsterdam so we have male and female reps. there from the club. Also to those doing the Rebel Run and those tapering for Dublin.
Rebel Run 10Km
Siobhán O'Leary 2nd Lady
A fantastic run and a very well deserved 2nd place overall for Siobhán O'Leary in Sunday's Rebel Run 10km. Despite running well all season Siobhán did not get the results she deserved so this is really long overdue. Mark Fuller also had a very fine run and continues to progress with every race.
Amsterdam
Reports in from Amsterdam so far have Christine Murphy having a fine finishing time of 4.12.49 after having run into difficulties at around 26 km. The organisation and support were fantastic but she missed the Midleton AC support crews cheers. John Hennessy finishing in 2.54.06 which is a very fine time considering his training didn't go to plan and could only manage twenty five miles a week for the last three months. His PB from last year in Frankfurt is 2.45.45.
Dublin Number
Once again our friend Brian Healy has been on to us to say if any of our members have any problems in Dublin with the marathon feel free to give him a call and he will try and help. Brian is on the organising committee Brian 0872932752. and No he cannot arrange to adjust your finishing time.
