WEEKEND RUNAROUND

News From "Into The West"

Vicky Spiteri 1st Lady

Results in from our crew in Mayo on our annual trip away show that Declan Dorgan came 7th in the Half Marathon and 3rd O/40 whilst our ladies Helen Gilroy finished 5th overall and 1st O/50 and Sheila Buckley finished 7th overall.
Then in the 10Km Vicky Spiteri came home 1st Lady and Máire Walsh was 4th Lady  and Edmond O'Sullivan was 6th overall and 1st O/50, Paul Spiteri and Eugene McCarthy finished 7th and 8th respectively. Tom Cody came 2nd O/50. A great array of prizes all round.












News From Abroad 

Our member Bernie Twomey has gone international and has run a Park Run in Pork Macquaire in New South Wales Australia. The run started at 7am which is the usual time over there and no bother to our Bernie as she is well used to early morning runs with the club.




Cork 2 Cobh More Winners

Now that the team results have been announced I am delighted to report that our team Midleton Town Council came 2nd in Grade A. The team consisted of Morgan O'Regan, Ger O'Regan and Derek Aherne. Well done guys doing the club proud once again.




ADVANCE NOTICE


The Irish Heart Foundation have now scheduled another ‘Hands for Life’ course for Midleton.
It will take place in the GAA Club on the 23rd November.


Available sessions times are 10am/12pm & 2pm.
Each session last an hour, covers the basics of CPR/AED etc. & are FOC.
