Dingle Duathlon

Don Ryan continues on his upwards spiral with a fantastic achievement of 2.35 in the Dingle Duathlon today. Great stuff Don and modest as always.

Dublin Half Marathon

We saw some fine running here today from John Dunphy who having only his second run in three weeks completed the course in 1.33.03. Well done John solid as a rock as always.

Our First Marathon Winner

Word has just come through that Andre Brodkorb has won the Glen Of Aherlow Marathon in a fantastic time of 3.37.
This is on a course of 800mtr climb. This is fantastic running and so very well deserved. More details later when Andre can come to terms with his great run.

Matt Chojan Great day in Aherlow, 6h55min for 39.3miles ultra trail marathon with 1200m ascend,Magdalena Chojan half marathon in 2:01 and fantastic marathon winner AndrĂ© Brodkorb in 3:37. Well done to everyone!

Great Run by Catherine Terry

Word has also just come through that Catherine Terry had another great race and came home 4Th. Lady overall in the Moxie Pro Adventure Race in Blessington Co Wicklow this morning. This is a very well deserved result for Catherine who is so very dedicated and hard working and continues to improve with every outing. She had to complete 60 Km  between cycling, kayaking and running to finish the course.

Best of luck to everyone running this weekend. We have members running in Dublin, Macroom,Wicklow, Charleville Half Marathon and the East Cork Cross Country Championships in Castlelyons ( still not too late to enter see previous posts).
Please keep the blog updated .

Open Night

A big thank you to everyone who made Wednesday Night's Open Night such a huge success. To the fantastic Social Committee who organised the tea and coffee and food, John Cashman for doing MC all our members who turned up to welcome the newcomers and to all the newcomers both runners and beginners. Not forgetting our Clothing Officers who had free samples for almost everyone in the audience. (There will be a report in next Tuesday's Examiner)
