Over nine hundred runners turned out Tue evening for the John Buckley 5Km in what were ideal conditions for running We had a fair crew there and all got on very well. Louise Barry had a fantastic run and got a new PB of 21.53. Others who had great runs were Anna Doris 8th overall and 1st O/45 and Margaret Jones 2nd O/45 whilst the ever solid Kathleen O'Connell got 2nd O/60. Anna and Margaret also scored with the Midleton Town Council where they got 2nd Team Grade A no mean achievement considering the quality of teams and runners there tonight. Paul Fleming also had a super run getting a PB with 22.17.
The race was won again by Mark Hanrahan in a time of 14.28 getting a new course record by six seconds breaking the record formerly held by Noel Berkley and Michelle Finn won the ladies in 16.19. Any more PBs etc please let me know mdtacinfo@gmail.com
It was great also to see Dan Horgan one of our finest runners in the past back in action after a long injury and doing a fine comeback time tonight.
