PFIZERS 6 Mile
The BHAA evening races are now starting to kick in with the traditional Pfizer 6 mile taking place in Ringaskiddy on Wed 13th. The conditions were again ideal for running with rain threatening but holding off. We had a few runners there and all ran well. Derek Aherne was our second man home with a fine run of 43.26 as had Donie O'Connell and Alan Kelleher who also got a PB here. Michael McNamara also had a very good run. Run of the night must go to John Cashman who got a PB with 37.58. and was our first man home.
Our only lady was Amanda Stavrou who is in flying form coming up to the Cork Marathon. Donie O'Connell was our prize winner taking 2nd O/65 on this very challenging course that takes in so many bits of other races and includes lots of uphill running.
