CONNA 5Km

The first Conna 5Km took place tonight Thur 1st Aug and had a very respectable crowd of 190 runners approx..
We were well represented and came home with several prizes .Sheila Buckley running her third race in four days finished 2nd Lady overall a well deserved result whilst the magic Mgt Jones again took 1st O/40 and the consistently solid running of Joan Hough earned her 1st O/55. Tom Cody solid as ever was our only male prizewinner taking 1st O/55  but Shea Coffee had a fantastic run finishing in 18.14 finishing 6th overall over what by all accounts was a very very tough mile 1 to 2 which appears to have been all uphill Francis Maunsell 19.47 also had an excellent run just missing out on the prizes.Paul Kearns had a fine run also considering he must still be recovering from all the organisation he put into  the Carrigtwohill 5 km last Mon evening.
Joan Mc Carthy also had a very good run especially when one realizes she had run the night before in Novartis Great credit is due to St Catherine's AC for  this event and hopefully it will become an annual event.

Cross Country
