RACES THIS WEEK

Mon 12th John Buckley's Graded Track and Field
                 CIT Track 7.30 pm
See previous posts.

Tue. 13 Streets of Fermoy 5Km 8pm

This is a series of four that takes place once a month around the streets of Fermoy town. Interesting in that it is the same course so you can see how you progress over the four months of the series.

Wed. 14th Pfizer's 6Mile 8pm

A very popular that has been run by very many over the years. A tough challenging course that takes in pieces of the routes of many other races from the Carrigaline five to Novartis 5km. Well worth doing and remember its 6 mile NOT 10km.

Thur. 15th FOTA 5Km SOLD OUT

This race sold out in a matter of minutes having two windows 10am and 7 pm both were gone very quick. So if you are not already in all you can do is go and support.
Please do not run if you are not officially entered as this effects the insurance cover of the race and if you do decide to ignore this advice certainly do not wear the club colours. This is a very crowded race and very difficult if you are looking for a good time. The roads are quite narrow so be careful when overtaking if you step on the grass etc.

Sat. 17th Park Run 9.30 am

There are two very popular Park Runs today one in Macroom and one in Clonakilty. Please note both of these races are FREE Entry.

Sun 18th Emer Casey 10Km 1.30 pm

Again a hugely popular race and well worth supporting. You get a free T Shirt with your entry and support a very worthy cause and there is always a great spread after.
This year the course is changed a bit due to road works but by all accounts this will make it faster and ideal for PBs. It starts in its usual spot near the school but instead of turning left and going down the hill it continues on and turns right onto the bypass where it continues downhill until almost the three mile mark then a couple of laps of the town.
